CB5 with PolyScope X

Description

PolyScope X is supported only on a CB5.6 Control Box. Check the model name on the Control Box serial number label before you continue.

You can update the installed PolyScope X software or write a full robot image to the storage device.

Use the PolyScope X update screen for a normal software update from a USB drive.
If PolyScope X runs from an SD card, write a full image to the SD card for recovery or a clean installation.
If PolyScope X runs from the internal eMMC storage, use the CB5.6 USB installer to write a full image to the eMMC storage.

Do not start the Control Box with bootable PolyScope X installations on both the SD card and the eMMC storage. Before you install PolyScope X on the eMMC storage, back up the robot data and remove the SD card.

Use the CB5.6 image supplied for your storage method. SD card images use the .img format. The eMMC USB installer uses the .usb.wic.gz format. Do not use a .dmg file.

The Robot Tools procedures in this guide apply to CB7 with PolyScope X. Do not use those procedures for CB5.6.
