Subject: Introduction of PolyScope 5.26 Long Term Support (LTS)

Universal Robots is aware that many customers rely on long and predictable support windows to manage internal validation processes, documentation requirements, and certification procedures. Therefore, we would like to introduce a new Long Term Support (LTS) version of PolyScope 5 designed specifically for customers, who require a stable and reliable foundation for long-term deployments.

We are pleased to confirm that the January 2026 release of PolyScope 5 will become the next Long Term Support version: PolyScope 5.26 LTS.

This new LTS version supports our full current hardware portfolio, providing a unified, stable platform for
customers continuing to use PolyScope 5.

PolyScope 5.26 LTS includes support for:

• UR eSeries: UR3e, UR5e, UR7e, UR10e, UR12e, UR16e
• UR Series: UR8 Long, UR15, UR18, UR20, UR30
• Control Boxes CB5.0 through CB5.6
• All model years of the above robots

A key addition in this release is support for the CB5.6 control box, which is the hardware platform for PolyScope X. This means customers can now begin standardizing on PolyScope X ready hardware, while still deploying PolyScope 5 where needed. It provides full flexibility to decide on a per deployment basis which software platform to run and allows long-term planning of the PolyScope X transition without hardware compatibility concerns.

PolyScope 5.26 LTS will be supported until the end of 2027.

What updates will be provided during LTS support

During the support period for PolyScope 5.26 LTS, updates focus on maintaining stability and ensuring continued compatibility for customers who depend on long-term support.

Updates include:

• Ensuring hardware and component compatibility for already supported robots, control boxes,
  teach pendants, and components. New hardware models introduced later are not supported on
  this LTS version.
• Safety compliance updates.
• Critical bug fixes.

Please note that it is the major release of PolyScope 5.26 that is long-term supported and that customers should qualify. Updates released to support new components, safety notices, or critical bug fixes are delivered as minor patch releases listed as version 5.26.n, where n identifies the patch version.
