This is notification of a product revision. Universal Robots has changed to the mechanical chassis of the CB3 OEM control box to commonize components between the standard and OEM controller versions. These are mechanical changes only – hardware and software are unaffected. Customers should verify fit of the new CB3 OEM controller chassis into previously-designed applications, as mounting points and overall size of the chassis are different.

Overview:

• Universal Robots has shifted production of the OEM controller to the new (V2) design
• The old (V1) design is phased out
• Timing of the change varies by robot size due to varying inventory levels and demand rates
• The robot item numbers have not changed. The controller version can be verified by the robot serial number. See table below for details.

• CB3 OEM installation manual, including dimensioned illustrations of the old (V1) and new (V2) controller
