Read This Prior to Updating Your Software

Updating the software may cause changes or restrictions to functionality.

It is recommended to always update to latest version of the software, as each new release fix bugs, add new features, and in general improve performance.

We advise you to thoroughly read the release notes before doing an update, in order to avoid surprises, caused by changed or added functionality.

In case of concerns related to your actual or planned applications, please contact your supplier for advice and assistance.

Software should not be downgraded to an earlier version than the version the robot was configured with when shipped from factory.

Breach of this may cause the system to not boot or malfunction

Release Notes can be found on our Article Section under Lifetime Management for feature and improvements releases.

You will find how to update the robot in the Service manual.

NOTE: Internet Explorer will in some instances automatically detect the .urup file as an .xml file due to "intelligent" MIME handling of file types. If this is the case, make sure to select Save as type: All Files and then manually enter the correct file name and extension, ie. update.3.x.x.x.urup

Joint firmware All software updates include joint firmware. Joint firmware is updated automatically from software version 3.1.xxxxx and onwards.
