Autonomous sanding/polishing toolkit - ARAS is an all-in-one equipment that ensures a uniform finish for polishing or sanding flat, curved or even flexible surfaces. The desired outcome is created by a user-friendly path planning algorithm which allows a fast drafting of the desired track. The robot will subsequently follow the defined path during the execution of the program. The user can define many parameters such as sanding orientation, path shape, different tracks concatenation, coverage, etc.

During the operation, ARAS controls and adjusts the applied force to the working piece automatically in order to achieve the desired finish. There is no need to teach the robot the curvature of the treated surface; ARAS can accomplish this task by outlining few points (e.g. 4 corners for a rectangular area). With the subsequent sanding operation, ARAS provides a complete map of the actual applied force to the treated surface for quality control purposes.

The kit includes all hardware and software for sanding. A fast installation procedure and a specifically designed user interface, permit a quick set-up and short learning curve. You can configure your sanding activity in just a few minutes. ARAS is specifically designed for an efficient automated low and medium production runs.
