Overview
PHOENIX Robotics is a high‑performance vertical 7th‑axis built to dramatically extend the reach and capabilities of Universal Robots. Engineered for demanding industrial and collaborative workflows, it enables UR cobots to achieve higher stacking heights, work across multiple levels, and handle more complex palletizing and material‑handling tasks with remarkable efficiency.
Its industrial‑grade telescopic structure ensures exceptional rigidity, smooth travel, and precise vertical positioning—even during dynamic, high‑speed robot motion. With payload capacities up to 130 kg, lift speeds up to 170 mm/s, and minimal deflection thanks to its robust construction, it delivers reliable performance in continuous production environments.
Integration is fast and intuitive through the dedicated URCap for Polyscope X, offering direct control, streamlined setup, and automated configuration from the UR Teach Pendant. Standard TCP/IP connectivity provides real‑time access to position data, operating hours, and system diagnostics, supporting predictive maintenance and maximizing uptime.
Ideal for palletizing, depalletizing, bin‑picking, logistics automation, and flexible manufacturing, PHOENIX Robotics provides a plug‑and‑play vertical motion solution that expands what UR cobots can achieve—without increasing footprint or cost. Built for easy installation, smooth integration, and long‑term durability, it is a powerful upgrade for any UR‑based automation cell.
Specifications
How Does it Work?:
Just install the URCap for Polyscope X, mount the mechanical interface to your UR robot, and connect the included power and Ethernet cables — and you’re ready to start. The PHOENIX Robotics lifting column integrates fully with the UR controller in less than 30 minutes. Once connected, the robot can move the column as an additional axis, enabling smooth, precise vertical motion directly from your UR program. More information can be found in the quick start guide or operating manual
Does it have a URCap?: Yes
