Compatibility and Version Requirements

PolyScope X is supported on the following Universal Robots Control Boxes:

• Control Box 5.6 (CB5.6) for e‑Series and UR Series robot arms.

• Control Box 7 (CB7) for g‑Series robot arms.

To check your PolyScope X version, open the hamburger menu and tap About.

To verify your Control Box version, check the serial number label on your Control Box.

1. Locate the model name on the label.

2. Confirm that it clearly indicates CB5.6 or CB7.

If the label shows neither version, your Control Box does not support PolyScope X.

• To run PolyScope X on an e‑Series or UR Series robot, replace your existing Control Box with a CB5.6. You can install the CB5.6 in place of all previous e‑Series and UR Series controllers.

• g‑Series robots ship with a CB7 Control Box and run PolyScope X. No Control Box replacement is required.

If you purchased your robot as a PolyScope X Robot but have a different Control Box version, contact Universal Robots and provide the relevant information to verify that you have the correct hardware.
