MIR / UR synchronisation URCap

The mobile robots from MiR are autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) designed to optimize productivity in logistics and manufacturing operations. The MiR AMRs make your employees more efficient by allowing them to focus on higher-value activities, while shortening lead time, reducing the risk of bottlenecks, and optimizing safety. With this synchronization URcap you can easily connect a MIR and a UR Cobot. This URCap enables a handshake between MIR and UR.

PROFIsafe for e-Series

SAFETY ALERT: If you are using PROFIsafe, with the 3PE Teach Pendant, update to software version 5.18.1 or higher. Currently all e-Series robots ship with software 5.19 or higher.

Performance Check

The Performance Check will be conducted remotely by Universal Robots in cooperation with the Customer. Universal Robots will review the program to ensure that the cobot is operating optimally. A report, including recommendations for potential improvements, will be handed over to the customer after completion.

ProfiSafe License

PROFIsafe is an open-standard, industrial ethernet communications protocol. PROFIsafe adds an additional layer to PROFInet to allow functional safety communications over a single ethernet cable. PROFIsafe for e-Series eliminates the need for a bridging PLC or additional I/O modules, creating a cost savings, and simplification of wiring and programming across the entire workcell.

Remote TCP & Toolpath URCap

The Remote TCP Toolpath URCap makes it easier to program Universal Robots for process applications, such as dispensing, deburring, polishing, etc. First, this URCap allows you to set Remote Tool Center Points (RTCP), where the tool center point is fixed in space, relative to the base of the robot. Second, it is also able to automatically generate robot motion based on an imported G-code toolpath file. When the robot is required to follow a complex trajectory for a dispensing or deburring application, it is much easier to program the toolpath based on a part model in the CAD/CAM software that the user is already familiar with. The user no longer needs to spend a long time programming waypoints and circle moves from the teach pendant. SRCI (Standard Robot Command Interface)

Standard Robot Command Interface (SRCI) is an open-standard for the command and data interface between a client Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and a server (UR controller). SRCI adds an additional layer to PROFInet that allows the user to program the robot from the PLC. UR SRCI interpreter ensures a frictionless integration with Siemens PLCs, since Siemens is the first PLC Vendor supporting SRCI in the automation market. Broad SRCI version URCap has been released that supports all 29 Profile: Core functions and requires a paid license. Standard Robot Command Interface (SRCI) is an open-standard for the command and data interface between a client (a programmable logic controller [PLC]) and a server (UR controller), SRCI adds an additional layer to PROFInet to allows the user to program the robots in the PLC. SRCI for e-Series, UR20/UR30 eliminates the unique libraries from each robot maker and standardize the programming across brands. Using SRCI between the PLC and the robot will also facilitate integrating the robot program into general PLC automation, help reduce programming efforts and errors. The implementation of a standardized SRCI facilitates robot programming seamlessly within the PLC programming environment, eliminating the necessity for end-users to possess vendor-specific robot skills at their facility. The current version released is a limited functionality release with 20 core profile functions. A broad release will be available in coming months with 29 core profile functions.

Universal Robots Toolpath Generator for SOLIDWORKS

SOLIDWORKS is a commercial CAD software package for designing industrial components. The 3D models developed in SolidWorks serve as a basis for G-code toolpath generation. Universal Robots’ Polyscope software contains the Remote TCP Toolpath URCap, which automatically generates robot motion based on imported G-code files. The purpose of this Toolpath Generator is to provide an easy-to-use approach for defining 2.5-axis toolpaths in SolidWorks. It also ensures the output from SolidWorks uses the correct syntax that is compatible with the Remote TCP Toolpath URCap. This product is provided to e-Series users free of charge.
