2-Jaw Parallel Grippers with Long Stroke
The MATCH gripper of the LWR50L-21-00001-A series is based on the powerful GEH6040IL from Zimmer Group and is the right solution when robotics need to do more. In combination with Universal Robots and the corresponding URCaps compatibility, the gripper can be easily integrated, parameterized and directly incorporated into existing automation processes.
Overview
The MATCH gripper of the LWR50L-21-00001-A series is based on the powerful GEH6040IL from Zimmer Group and is the right solution when robotics need to do more. In combination with Universal Robots and the corresponding URCaps compatibility, the gripper can be easily integrated, parameterized and directly incorporated into existing automation processes.
With its high nominal gripping force of up to 1,000 N, the 2-jaw parallel gripper is specifically designed for demanding applications where secure handling, high process stability and reliable payload capacity are essential. The adjustable 40 mm stroke per jaw enables flexible gripping tasks and reliable handling of different workpiece sizes within this gripping range.
The servo drive with integrated controller and BLDC motor support precise, repeatable gripping processes. Mechanical self-locking ensures that the workpiece remains securely held, even in the event of power loss or process interruption.
Whether for machine tending, assembly or workpiece handling, the LWR50L combines the easy operation of Universal Robots with Zimmer Group’s powerful gripping technology, for applications where precision, quality and high gripping force ensure process reliability.
Powered by UR g-Series and PolyScope X
UR g-Series robots deliver higher power directly at the tool flange. The LWR50L draws up to 5 A at 24 V, and the g-Series supplies that current straight from the arm, so the gripper reaches its full 1,000 N gripping force without an external power supply or extra cabling. More power at the tool means higher gripping force and heavier payloads, handled directly from the robot.
A ready-to-use Zimmer URCap brings grip, release and position commands into PolyScope X, so you configure, program and monitor the gripper on the teach pendant and integration stays simple.
Specifications
How Does it Work?:
The MATCH gripper LWR50L-21-00001-A is mounted to the robot and connected to the control system. Thanks to URCaps compatibility, it can be configured and operated directly via the Universal Robots interface.
The adjustable 40 mm stroke per jaw allows the gripper to adapt to different workpiece sizes within its gripping range, while the high gripping force ensures reliable handling of heavier or more demanding parts.
The integrated servo drive and BLDC motor enable controlled positioning and repeatable motion sequences. The mechanical self-locking function keeps the workpiece securely in place, even if power is lost or the process is interrupted. This increases safety and process stability, especially in applications where reliable holding force is critical.
