Plus, safeguard your valuable programs and installations with automatic cloud backups and complete version history, all managed through UR Connect, seamlessly integrated with Polyscope and myUR.
Specifications
- An active myUR account is required.
- The robots must run PolyScope 5.17 or higher must be installed.
- If you use PolyScope 5.17.x, you need to have the UR Connect URCap installed (PS 5.18 and onwards has built-in).
- An active "outbound only internet connection" with port 443 open is required on the cobot.
How Does it Work?:
These are the three most common options for connecting the physical robot work cell in the factory to the UR Cloud.
- Cellular connection - optional connectivity kit
- Factory LAN - local router - optional USB to Ethernet Adapter
- Direct connection to Factory LAN
Once you successfully connected the robot, the URCap needs to be installed. If you are running PolyScope 5.18 or above URCap is preinstalled on PolyScope.
As a last step make sure to add the robot in myUR and connect it from the teach pendant.
After this, you get access to all UR Connect features.
