The comprehensive camera portfolio covers working distances from 300 mm up to 3,500 mm, minimizing the need for different solutions and technologies. Thanks to the graphic, code-free user interface and the easy plug play installation, new projects can be implemented in short time, allowing increased flexibility and reducing setup time. Advanced algorithms for 3D vision, deep learning, model creating and matching, motion planning, collision detection, and many more secure a highly reliable and precise operation are available. With our pre-trained deep learning model, complex task of random bin picking of unknown objects can be managed. The plug-and-play URCap helps to easily integrate a UR robot into the Mech-Mind Vision System, reducing the set-up and installation time for the robot.

Mech-Mind 3D Vision & AI includes the individual Mech-Eye camera and the software suite for machine vision and robot programming. After the installation, individual vision projects can be built with the code-free user interface to capture images and locate objects. The projects can even be triggered from the UR teach pendant to get the poses of the object. Additional features like collision avoidance, optimal grasping strategy, etc. can be included during the robot programming process.

Powered by UR g-Series and PolyScope X

UR g-Series robots bring 1 Gb Ethernet directly to the tool flange. The NANO ULTRA-GL connects directly at the flange, so the camera link runs down inside the arm and the external cable run comes out of the cell. Fewer cables on a moving arm means fewer accidental disconnects, no dress pack to maintain and a faster rebuild when the cell is repurposed.

In PolyScope X the ready-to-use Mech-Mind URCap keeps the workflow on the teach pendant. The operator triggers a Mech-Vision project from the pendant and receives the pose of the object, then uses that pose in the robot program.

Collision avoidance and grasping strategy are handled in the Mech-Mind software, so the pendant program stays short and readable.
