Safedoor SD100
Safedoor is an innovative, safe and easy-to-use solution for handling the CNC machine doors in collaborative machine tending applications. Specialized linear actuators provide reliable high-speed opening and closing of CNC doors, while a controller ensures smooth operation. The controller also combines digital control from the robot, the CNC machine and the included operator panel. SD100 is automatically adjusting to the CNC door size by use of acquate force and speed control when put into use, and will keep finetuning the force monitor in every cycle. Operator safety is essential for automatic CNC door movement, and SD100 is designed exactly for safe operation without compromising cycle time.

The Safedoor SD100 system is composed of a controller and one or two actuators.
The set comes with everything you need to operate the doors on a CNC machine from the robot program, the CNC machine or the included operator panel.
The actuator is mounted onto the CNC machine using the included brackets and connected to the controller, which communicates with the robot, the CNC machine and controls the door motion.
Once the system is installed on the CNC machine an automatic configuration cycle is completed to measure the width, weight, resistance and other parameters of the door.

There is no need to tinker with customizations, as the system automatically adobts to the width of the door. The built-in force limiting reduces pinching and crushing hazards, and the adaptive controller slows the door down before if fully closes. Adjustable speed control can be used to slow down the motion, if required by the safety assesment. - Fast, silent and reliable operation
The actuator is designed an manufactured to meet requirements for continous operation in an industrial environment. With traversal speeds as high as 500mm/s cycle times can be keept low. - Automatic door size adjustment
The controller automatically detects the door frame and adjusts the motion profile accordingly. This ensures that the door is opening and closing as fast as possible, while ensuring that it is still slowed down in due time, before reaching the frame. - Force control optimized for safe and reliable operation
To ensure operator safety, the Safedoor SD100 continously measures the excerted force. When excessive force is detected, the system immediatly brakes and back away. - Capable of handling single or dobble door CNC machines
One Safedoor Controller can handle either a single actuator for a single door CNC or two actuators in tandem when installed on a double-door CNC machine.
