This guide outlines the steps required to upgrade the PROFIsafe Safety Configuration using PolyScope’s User Interface. The upgrade is necessary due to changes in communication with the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), where signal behavior has shifted from Active High (pre-5.25) to Active Low. Although no safety parameters themselves will be modified, the Safety Checksum will change. A certified Safety Officer must be present to authorize and apply the upgrade by specifying the Safety Password. |
