Upgrade the software to PolyScope 5.25

Description

To ensure a smooth transition to PolyScope 5.25, it is advised to perform the following:

Before upgrading PolyScope to 5.25, ensure that any required modifications to the safety configuration or installation are completed across all Installations using PROFIsafe. Failing to do so may prevent the Safety Officer from successfully upgrading PROFIsafe.
Steps

Identify all installations with PROFIsafe enabled in the Safety Configuration. These are the installations which require an upgrade.

  • If Operational Mode is configured, then it is required for the robot to be in Manual Mode or have Operational Mode disabled: It is only possible to upgrade PROFIsafe when the robot is in Manual Mode.

  • If PROFIsafe is configured to Control Operational Mode, it is required to disable this before upgrading; It is only possible to upgrade PROFIsafe when the robot is in Manual Mode.

  • Be sure to have the Safety Officer present, as the Safety Password is needed to perform the upgrade.

  • Make a backup of programs and installations to ensure the ability to recover in case any problems arise.
