Boot PolyScope with PROFIsafe Enabled in the Default Installation

Description

During PolyScope Boot sequence, the user is confronted with a dialog requesting the user to perform a required PROFIsafe upgrade.

 

 
Steps to Resolve

Confirm the necessary upgrade by tapping the button: Confirm PROFIsafe Upgrade.

Then you must navigate to the PROFIsafe subsection:

  1. Click the Installation tab

  2. Select the Safety section

  3. Select the PROFIsafe subsection

 
Perform Upgrade

Following On-Screen Instructions to perform the PROFIsafe upgrade:

  1. The Safety Officer must log into Safety using the Safety Password

  2. Enable the Confirm PROFIsafe Upgrade toggle.

  3. Click Apply - Located in the lower right of the screen
Apply and Restart:

The Safety Configuration dialog will appear.

  • Click Apply and restart to finalize the upgrade

  • A message will confirm that the Safety Checksum May Change - Click OK

  • Review and confirm the upgraded Safety Configuration

Save the installation after applying the new PROFIsafe Safety Configuration to prevent this process from repeating.
