Powered by dual 2.3 MP global shutter sensors, NVIDIA-accelerated Neural Depth, and a rugged GMSL2 interface, the system delivers reliable sub-millimeter 3D perception in demanding industrial environments.
Mounted directly on the robot wrist, the camera shares the tool's point of view, enabling precise picking, inspection and manipulation—even while the robot is moving. Its compact and lightweight design mounts seamlessly to the tool flange without affecting robot performance, making it ideal for applications where precision, flexibility, and speed are essential.
Integration is simple with the included ZED URCap, which installs directly from the UR teach pendant and guides users through an intuitive hand-eye calibration process. Once calibrated, the camera and robot automatically share a common coordinate system, allowing detected objects to be converted into robot poses in real time for fast, vision-guided operation. A complete Pick & Place reference application is included to accelerate deployment and provide a foundation for custom robotic workflows.
Running on the included NVIDIA Jetson platform, the solution integrates seamlessly with the ZED SDK, NVIDIA Isaac ROS, and the NVIDIA AI Accelerator, providing an open and scalable platform for advanced robotics applications.

How Does it Work?:
The ZED X Nano Stereo Camera mounts directly onto the UR arm's wrist, next to the gripper. It connects to a compute unit (ZED BOX or other compatible board) via a ruggedized GMSL2 coaxial cable , industrial-grade, locking, and EMI-shielded so it handles the arm's continuous motion without dropouts. Once running, the camera captures synchronized RGB and depth simultaneously at up to 120fps, with depth starting as close as 3 cm. Depth is computed by Stereolabs' Neural Depth Engine, an AI model delivering sub-millimeter accuracy for precise grasp positioning. All of this feeds into the UR controller through a URCap plug-in, meaning operators see live camera feeds and 3D object coordinates directly on the PolyScope teach pendant, and can program vision-guided moves entirely within the standard UR interface.
