This model automatically opens and closes a single CNC machine door up to 180 kg and 1000 mm travel. Developed specifically for CNC machines, it provides reliable automatic door operation for Universal Robots machine tending.
Unlike pneumatic door openers, CNC AutoDoor uses industrial servo technology for smooth, controlled and repeatable door movement without compressed air. The self-learning controller automatically learns the door movement and detects resistance, while the electronics are protected inside a sealed industrial control cabinet. The result is a robust solution built for intensive daily use in CNC production environments.
Installation is straightforward. Universal mounting brackets make the system suitable for a wide range of CNC machine brands and models, and the door opener can be integrated with the robot and CNC machine through simple I/O signals. A dedicated URCap is available for Universal Robots integration.

How Does it Work?:
The CNC AutoDoor is mounted directly to the CNC machine using the supplied universal mounting brackets. The system is delivered complete with the door opener, control cabinet and installation documentation and can typically be installed within a few hours.
During setup, the self-learning controller learns the movement and resistance of the machine door. Once commissioned, the servo drive provides smooth and controlled opening and closing without compressed air.
For Universal Robots, the dedicated CNC AutoDoor URCap makes integration easy. After connecting the AutoDoor to the robot through digital I/O, the URCap allows the door to be opened and closed directly from the Universal Robots program. Door operation can then be integrated into the robot loading and unloading sequence without additional programming.
The CNC AutoDoor can also be controlled through simple I/O signals from the CNC machine or other robot systems, making it suitable for a wide range of automated machine tending applications.
Minimum Software versions:
For PolyScope 5, the correspondent API Version defines the minimum compatible SW Version. The PolyScope Version the API has been introduced, is the correspondent minimum version For PolyScope X my recommendation would be to test it with the lates available version.
At the moment it is PolyScope 10.13, but we are about to release 10.14 in the near future.
