Visão geral
Inbolt Standard software brings real-time 3D vision guidance to your UR robot. A robot-mounted camera locates each part from its CAD file and shifts the robot path to match, so parts no longer need jigs, fixtures or exact positioning.
Parts rarely arrive in exactly the same place. To automate, production lines traditionally add jigs, fixtures and mechanical indexing to hold every part in a fixed position. That tooling adds cost, extends commissioning, and has to be re-engineered whenever a part or rack changes.
Inbolt Standard software removes that constraint. It brings 6DoF part localization to stationary applications where parts arrive in a repeatable orientation, from single parts to layered racks and trays. A robot-mounted 3D camera locates the part directly from its CAD file, independent of lighting, with training in under 10 minutes. The robot then works from where the part actually is, so position variation no longer stops the process.
The Standard license covers tightening and screwdriving, pick-and-place, machine tending, dispensing, de-racking and layered depalletizing. Typical deployments replace mechanical indexing on existing UR cells in automotive general assembly and powertrain, electronics, white goods and aerospace.
Native to PolyScope X and the UR g-Series
Inbolt is delivered as a URCap on PolyScope X, so vision-guided moves are programmed like any other UR command. There is no separate IDE and no workflow change for programmers or integrators. It installs out of the box and runs alongside any UR-compatible end-of-arm tooling.
On the UR g-Series, the Inbolt 3D camera connects through the 1 Gb Ethernet at the tool flange. Camera data travels down the arm internally, eliminating extra data cables routed along the outside of the robot. The result is a cleaner, simpler cell with fewer connectors and failure points, faster to install and easier to maintain.
Everything runs at the edge on the UR CB7 Core controller: no cloud, no internet, no data leaving the plant and no separate compute hardware. Inbolt commands appear directly in the UR program tree, so vision-guided moves are called like any other URScript instruction. A single program switches between more than 80 part references.

How does it work?
A 3D camera mounts to the UR robot tool flange and connects directly to the UR controller. The Inbolt URCap, installed on PolyScope X, runs Inbolt Studio and all part localization on the controller itself, at the edge: no cloud, no internet, no data leaving the plant, and no separate compute hardware.
In Inbolt Studio you load the part CAD file, the model trains in under 10 minutes, and you define the robot pick or process point in the part frame. A single program can switch between more than 80 part references. Inbolt commands appear directly in the UR program tree, so vision-guided moves are called the same way as any URScript instruction.
In production, the camera captures a 3D scene, Inbolt localizes the part in 6 degrees of freedom, and the robot path is offset to match the actual position of the part. The Standard license handles single parts and parts organized in layers or racks with minimal overlap, presented in a repeatable orientation, on stationary stations.
In four steps:
- Load the CAD file and train the part, in under 10 minutes
- The camera captures the 3D scene
- Inbolt localizes the part in 6DoF
- The robot path offsets to the real part position
Minimum software versions:
- Requires the CB7 Core controller running PolyScope X 10.13 or later.
- Earlier UR controllers are supported via the external Inbolt controller on PolyScope 5.15 or later.
Vision
- Pose estimation: single-object 6DoF pose detection
- Repeatability: 0.5 to 0.7 mm
- Working distance: 10 to 150 cm
- Part input: 3D CAD model
- Part references per program: more than 80
- Sensing: active IR 3D depth
Application type
- Stationary stations
- Single parts, or parts in layers with minimal overlap, in a repeatable orientation
Certifications: CE compliant
Características
- 6DoF single-object pose estimation, taken directly from the part CAD file
- CAD-based training in under 10 minutes, with no labelled data and no vision expertise
- Lighting-independent active IR 3D depth sensing, in bright, dim or fully dark environments
- More than 80 part references per program
- Removes jigs, fixtures and mechanical indexing
- One taught path, with the robot working from the real part position every cycle
- Runs at the edge on the UR controller, with no cloud and no separate compute hardware
- Native URCap, with Inbolt commands in the UR program tree
- Camera mounts at the tool flange and works with any UR-compatible end-of-arm tooling
- Lowest-cost license in the Inbolt range, with the saving repeating on every station
- Typical payback in 12 months
- Lower cost of automation: one camera and one license replace the jigs, fixtures and indexing built into every new station
- Reliable from the real part position: worn racks, shifted dunnage and hand-loaded parts stop causing crashes and misloads
- Fast to deploy and change over: a new part reference is production-ready in under 10 minutes from its CAD file

O que vem na caixa?
The 3D camera mounts to the robot tool flange with the included UR-compatible mount. On g-Series robots it connects through the tool-flange Ethernet, so no extra data cabling is routed along the outside of the arm. The Inbolt URCap is installed on PolyScope X and runs Inbolt Studio plus all part localization natively on the controller, exposing Inbolt commands directly in the program tree. No separate Inbolt compute hardware is required.
- 1x 3D camera, robot-mounted
- 1x mount for your UR robot
- Mounting screws to fix the camera
- Camera connection cabling
- 1x Inbolt Standard license software
