Pendant Armor is the world's first shock absorbing, chemical resistant bumper for robotic teach pendants, now molded for the UR g-Series pendant to guard the screen, corners, ports and cable from drops, spills and daily handling.

The teach pendant is the component your team handles every shift, and the one most often dropped or pulled off a work surface. A shattered screen or a cracked housing stops programming, and usually stops the cell with it. Roboworld solved that problem in 2015 with the first bumper built specifically for teach pendants, and Pendant Armor is now available for more than 20 different pendant models across the robotics industry.

Pendant Armor is manufactured from Santoprene, a rubber like, easy to hold material that cushions the components most often damaged in a fall. Its perforated, open backed design keeps the added weight to a minimum without giving up protection, and the molding is contoured to each OEM pendant so nothing is covered that needs to stay reachable. Protection for the screen, the corners, the feet and the cable comes in one part, with no change to how the pendant is used.

The result is a pendant that survives the factory floor. Fewer damaged pendants means lower maintenance spend, less unplanned downtime and a longer service life for a critical link in your automation chain. Without the pendant, you are stuck.

Built for the UR Gen 7 teach pendant

The design keeps the g-Series pendant fully usable. The E-stop sits behind a rigidized brow that can be trimmed in the field with a box knife where local safety regulations call for unencumbered access. The smart buttons stay easy to reach, the USB port stays accessible for service and connectivity while shielded by the bumper, and the cable notch is preserved so the cable routes exactly as designed. Tapered conformal hand grips add a secure hold without changing the pendant's form factor, and integrated leveling cups reduce the likelihood of the pendant being pulled or displaced from a work surface.

Storage was designed alongside it.

A custom cradle is available for purchase, and a free 3DM file is offered to customers who prefer to 3D print their own. The cradle accommodates the smart button panel and grommet, matching the storage feature on the original cradle designed by Universal Robots, so the g-Series workflow stays intact from the dock to the operator's hands.
