SOLID LANDMARK 3D an affordable camera-based solution for high accurate 3D measurements. The system is static mounted at the workspace, which keeps the robot wrist free from any sensors and has therefore no restrictions for the application tool. The camera observes a wide range of the workspace so the object can be detected in various positions. It is not necessary to preposition the object in a limited measurement space. The measurement performs with measurement targets (2D coded markers – landmarks), which will be detect 100% automatically, there is NO complex configuration, the codes can simply be selected from a list.

Overview

SOLID LANDMARK 3D an affordable camera-based solution for high accurate 3D measurements. The camera observes a wide range of the workspace so the object can be detected in various positions. It is not necessary to preposition the object in a limited measurement space. The measurement performs with measurement targets (2D coded markers – landmarks), which will be detect 100% automatically, there is NO complex configuration, the codes can simply be selected from a list.

SOLID LANDMARK 3D is a camera-based 3D vision system. The detection is automated by using 2D codes (Landmarks) which will be automatically detected. It is not necessary for the user to make any complex configurations. The Landmarks just need to be mounted to the work spaces or object holder (e.g. tray holder) in order to empower the vision system to calculate a full 3D vector of the operation position.
For example, on one palette where several boxes must be automatically placed using the robot. The vision system will measure the position and the orientation of the available marker from the palette. The robot will receive from the vision the actual position of the palette. Knowing the actual position of the palette the robot will be able to place the boxes according to the original program. The vision system can measure in an application more than one marker.
The LANDMARK System is fully integrated into the robots control panel, with an easy to use and self-explanatory UI, which is fully compliant to UR Standards. All the handling and configuration of the SOLID Landmark System takes place at the Robots panel not anywhere else.
