Overview
Versatile 2-finger gripper available in three sizes for small components for maximum workpiece variety with maximum process reliability for flexible handling of printed circuit boards in electronics manufacturing, sample and tray handling in laboratory automation, and universal workpiece handling. Particularly suitable for filigree and fracture-sensitive workpieces due to low impulse forces. Use in clean to lightly soiled work environments with contamination from dust or liquids.
The user has access to the highest level of functionality due to the components embedded in the gripper. This allows the gripper fingers to be pre-positioned at high speed or for dipping into a workpiece holder. The gripping force can be continuously adjusted to the workpiece handling requirement. Workpiece recognition enables full process transparency for the user. In an emergency stop situation, workpiece loss can be avoided due to the integrated gripping force maintenance. For seamless interaction between gripper and robot, a URcap is available for download. You can immediately start programming the application without having any additional integration effort.
Powered by UR g-Series and PolyScope X
UR g-Series robots deliver power directly at the tool flange. The g-Series supplies it straight from the arm, so the EGK runs at its full gripping force of up to 300 N, with the fine, freely programmable control small and fragile parts need, and no external power supply or extra cabling.
Power delivered at the tool means clean, reliable handling over the EGK's long jaw stroke, driven directly from the robot.
A ready-to-use Schunk URCap brings grip, release and position commands into PolyScope X, so you configure, program and monitor the gripper on the teach pendant and integration stays simple.

Dependencies:
In combination with UR the Modbus RTU communication interface has to be used. Robot adaption packages and suitable cables are available for single or double gripper configurations. SCHUNK recommends to consider power consumption and total payload of the setup in detail. Ask SCHUNK if you need any help on that.
