The three newly developed feeders of the flexfeeder product family mark the current state of flexible feeding technology. With fully integrated camera and toplight tower, the flexfeeder system reduces commissioning times significantly due to their ready-to-use wired system. The integrated touch screen simplifies parameterization and operation and provides valuable data on system performance during ongoing production. The fully integrated camera and control system with included touch screen, based on the latest feedware X software, also makes every flexfeeder the ideal partner for collaborative robots. Our customers master the technology we deliver completely independently. Included in the scope of delivery of each system is a driver for the usage with robots from Universal Robots. Training for the commissioning of all flexfeeder systems takes only one day and can be carried out on site if desired.
Bulk parts are stored in the pre feeder/bulk storage container. Parts are made available for robot pickup on the feed platform – in the pickzone. At both levels, prefeeder or feed platform, parts are moved forward or backward by excentric servo-controlled motions of the respective platform. In addition, the feed platform is capable of flipping parts to an evaluated stable state. A camera monitors the pickzone. If a part is recognized, the camera tells the robot to pick it up. If no parts are recognized by the camera, corrective commands are issued to the feeder to make parts available. The feeder commands are: dispense, feed fwd/bwd, flip fwd/bwd, purge. For each command the speed and displacement can be defined to achieve best feed results.
The necessary training takes just one day.
