SmoothTool is a cobot welding package that is specifically designed for the UR arm. It is incredibly user-friendly and simplifies the programming of advanced welds, making it easy and intuitive to use. The package also provides several advanced welding functions to the robot, including Touch Sense, Weaving patterns, Multipass, Offset, Tacking, Stitching, an Angle System, a 3D Universe, and more. SmoothTool is compatible with all UR robots (UR20 version is also available ) and comes with a programming flange that is used to Freedrive the robot and teach the welding path. The software comes with a list of pre-integrated power sources that enable advanced features, but SmoothTool can be integrated with virtually any kind of welding power source, by using the RetroFit Kit by Smooth Robotics. The RetroFit Kit for Euro The Kit works for welding machines using a Euro trigger connector. Just mount the RetroFit connector plate and then it’s plug & weld. The RetroFit Kit consists of: 1. The connector plate – A plate that fits the UR control box with connections for digital inputs & outputs. The plate comes with two sockets – one for the adaptor, and one for the current clamp. Additionally, the plate has two capped-off holes that can be used for connections to externals like fume extraction, weld indicator light, or others. Two cable glands are included for this purpose. 2. Connector - The Euro connector connects the power sources and the robot. 3. Current Clamp – This clamp goes on the welding cable and provides the feedback signal to the robot when it measures current during arc on. License: Lifetime All existing and future functional features and updates are included in the package. The onetime package is valid for 1 Universal Robots cobot and cannot be transferred from one cobot to another except in the case that the initial cobot is replaced. In this case, the SmoothTool lifetime package is transferred to the replacement robot.
