DESTACO’s TC1 Series manual robotic tool changers are ultralight, compact, and cost effective for cobot work cells. These tool changers fit all UR robot models offering ease of use convenience, durability, and excellent repeatability in an ultra-low coupling profile.  The innovative TC1 Tool Changer slides together for fail-safe locking and unlocks via push button release. A variety of mix and match robot and tool plates are available to meet your application mounting requirements including blank plates to add your own mounting patterns. DirectConnect tool plates mount directly to Robohand grippers. The TC1 tool plates also work with DESTACO’s modular Tool Tree Storage solution to organize cobot tools and safely store them when not in use. Tools mounted to TC1 Tool Plates are stored by sliding the tool plate into the tool tree holders. Tree height comes in 3 different lengths for holding up to 8 tools. The TC1 is operator and budget friendly.  Each TC1 tool changer includes integrated air pass-thru and optional electric utilities making it a great choice to add more versatility to your cobot applications.

The Auto Connector is a new type of mechanical connection system that makes fully automatic tool changes possible. The system is composed of an upper assembly and a lower assembly. The upper assembly houses the locking mechanism, which ensures a precise and form-locking fitment between the upper and lower assembly. The locking and unlocking mechanism is activated through the robots own movement. Trays make it possible to park multiple types of end of arm tools. An external energy source is not required for the Auto Connector to perform its automatic tool change.

GRIP SHW Connector Tool Changer

The SHW Connector was designed to be precise, durable and intuitive. The SHW Connector allows users to quickly change out tools, grippers or applications on a robot arm. This is accomplished through a mechanical release lever with a built-in safety. The Connector is comprised of an upper and a lower assembly. The upper assembly is attached to the robot arm while the lower assembly is attached to the tool/gripper. Connecting the two assemblies, connects the tool/gripper to the robot arm. This allows very quick installation of different tools without having to unscrew any part of the robot. This can be accomplished even with air and energy. Changing a tool/gripper with a GRIP Connector takes but a few seconds.
