Universal Robots partners with Bharat Fritz Werner in India

India is emerging as one of the fastest growing economies in the new millennium and the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) segment is expected to play a significant role in this growth.

In an endeavor of empowering the MSME segment for further growth, Universal Robots is aiming to penetrate the sector with new and affordable automation solutions with a collaboration with Bharat Fritz Werner (BFW) which is India’s largest machine tool manufacturer to leverage the productivity in the MSME segment by integrating collaborative robots in manufacturing processes. The partnership aims to disrupt the MSME segment with top-notch automation solutions and for CNC machine tending to dramatically impact productivity, quality and working conditions.

This collaboration will assist Universal Robots in redefining the production processes through introduction of its robotic arms that offer unprecedented flexibility at an affordable prize. Advanced user-friendly and light industrial robotic arms will dramatically impact productivity, quality and working conditions in the MSME segment as it will automate and streamline repetitive industrial processes along with increased productivity and efficiency.

The contract between Universal Robots and BFW regarding this collaboration was signed at UR’s HQ in Odense in the presence of Mr. Ravi Raghavan, CEO, Bharat Fritz Werner; Mr. Praful Shende, CSMO, Bharat Fritz Werner; Jürgen von Hollen, President, Universal Robots; Klaus Vestergaard, CFO, Universal Robots; and Pradeep David, General Manager, Universal Robots South Asia.
