Standard Robot Command Interface (SRCI) is an open-standard for the command and data interface between a client Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and a server (UR controller). SRCI adds an additional layer to PROFInet that allows the user to program the robot from the PLC. UR SRCI interpreter ensures a frictionless integration with Siemens PLCs, since Siemens is the first PLC Vendor supporting SRCI in the automation market. Broad SRCI version URCap has been released that supports all 29 Profile: Core functions and requires a paid license. SRCI URCap installation and activation is a two step process. First, setup Universal Robot's PROFInet. Second, install and license activation of SRCI URCap.
Note: Once a user purchases a license, they can download the URCap and license files from the myUR portal.
