Remote Operational Mode

Description

In Remote Mode, external devices are allowed to connect to key services, such as the Primary Interface. This has four properties:

  • Enables robot control via network or digital input.

  • Allows all control of running programs and executing scripts to be performed remotely by switching to the local control profile.

  • Remote Mode is only active when the application is in Automatic mode.

  • If the robot’s operational mode is governed by an IO signal, switching to Manual mode via IO will automatically revert Remote Mode back to Local Mode. This ensures a safe and structured environment for remote monitoring, while preserving local control integrity when needed.

 

To use Remote mode

  1. Follow the steps of “To access Operational Mode Selection” in Operational Mode. See Operational Mode.

  2. In the Mode field, choose Remote.

     

     

  3. Enter the Operational Mode Password to unlock and tap Confirm.

 

The main screen appears with all editing and control actions disabled. Only the Operator Screen remains accessible in view-only mode. Additionally, the Safety overview/checksum icon is changed as it appears .
