Photoneo Locator is an entry product of the Photoneo material handling line, mainly for handling of non-overlapping parts placed randomly.The system utilizes an accuracy and resolution of the PhoXi 3D scanners. Locator is available in a variation of XS, S, M, L, and XL size covering smallest scanning volume up to the size of over euro pallet (L version). Main applications are pick & place tasks, assembly, painting, welding and applying glue. Any application which is not restricted by the complexity of the environment. Let your robot know where to go.

How does it work?The system is set up around the CAD model of the object, the user wants to handle. For this purpose, a custom Photoneo Localisation algorithm is configured and trained. The system implements a full-featured user interface for the robot to camera calibration. All is done comfortably via UR pendant.After this Initial quick and easy setup, the system sends coordinates of the target object to the robotic controller.
