Achieving the final polish on Paradigm Electronics’ high-performance loudspeakers is a delicate, labor-intensive process requiring exact force control. The Canadian company deployed a UR10 to handle the challenging sanding task, resulting in increased production and a superior finish.
PRECISION CNC MACHINING TASK CHALLENGED SMALL MACHINE SHOP
U.S. machine shop Toolcraft struggled to automate a complex, three-operation machine tending task. With 30 micron repeatability and built-in force/torque sensing, a UR5e cobot now tends the CNC, saving 23 percent in production costs through a decrease in rejects and a 43 percent increase in throughput.

When Fluidics Instruments faced a lack of skilled workers, the attempt to outsource production did not result in the desired product quality.
