Universal Robots wins Frost & Sullivan’s “Manufacturer of the Year” award
The Manufacturing Leadership Council, representing around 1,000 senior-level members from many of the world's leading manufacturing companies, has awarded Universal Robots “Manufacturer of the Year” in the Small/Medium Enterprise category.
At the 14th Annual Manufacturing Leadership (ML) Awards Gala in Huntington Beach, California, USA, CTO and co-founder of Universal Robots, Esben Østergaard, received the award that recognizes outstanding manufacturing achievements.
In the delivery of the prestigious award, the Manufacturing Leadership Council emphasized Universal Robots’ “pioneering work in creating and popularizing collaborative robots, which are helping manufacturers of all sizes cope with intense cost pressures and customer demand for high mix, low volume production.”

Universal Robots was selected among hundreds of nominations and also won an additional three awards:
The Visionary Leadership award was granted candidates that have transformed their companies and made important contributions to their industries by challenging assumptions, achieving results and empowering others.
Stuart Shepherd, Regional Sales Director of Universal Robots’ Americas Region, (second from the right) received the Manufacturing Award in the “Smart Products and Services Leadership” category for the UR product line and the award for “Collaborative Innovation Leadership” for the UR+ platform.
Esben Østergaard also received a personal award for ”Visionary Leadership”.
