Building on COVID-19 experience
During the large-scale pandemic lockdown, UR hosted a virtual event with over 6,000 participants across Europe. Building on the experience of this event, UR is now able to offer participants a tried and tested concept on 9 December.
“We’re seeing huge interest from across the Nordic region, and the virtual format makes it easier to meet across regions in a situation where COVID-19 is on the rise again. Our virtual event is a safe and user-friendly way to acquire the latest knowledge, and we hope that as many people as possible will take advantage of the opportunity,” says Michael Hjertebjerg.
In addition to Michael Hjertebjerg, the event on 9 December will feature Thomas Bach Nielsen (Head of Robotics & Advanced Automation, Novo Nordisk A/S), Casper Hansen (CEO, Technicon A/S) and Dr Carl Heltmut Coulon (Head of Future Manufacturing Concepts, INVITE GmbH).
Robots taking pharma forward
Among other things, the collaborative robots from UR, so-called cobots, can relieve employees of cumbersome tasks on packing lines. The pandemic has put the spotlight on industry adaptability, supply chains and resilience, providing a clear pointer to increased automation. Kim Povlsen, President of Universal Robots, remarks:
“Scandinavia has created thriving sectors in both pharmaceuticals and robotics. It's great that we can now bring these sectors together in a virtual event and demonstrate how much cobots can contribute. The pharmaceutical industry is a key market for Universal Robots in the Nordic region, and we see great potential in mutually strengthening innovation," says Kim Povlsen.
Universal Robots invites all interested parties to register for the virtual event. Participation is free of charge, and you can register via this link.
